Co-founder of ________ (insert business name) . . . everyone always thinks its a franchise deal . . . and I just let them.
Sometimes it's just not worth the effort to have to explain myself . . . explain why I stay at home, why I wanted to take this on, why I don't just "go get a job."

Maybe this is bad, but I don't really talk about working at home with other people. If they ask I tell them, but most people assume that I'm "just" a SAHM and I don't usually correct them. I always cringe when people say "So, are you just staying home?"Flag as inappropriate Posted by mamajama on 13th December 2007

Depending on the situation Virtual Assistant or Virtual Project Manager or Virtual Business Manager.
I'm also leaning towards using Virtual Professional just because using Assistant for some people means you are 'just' an assistant and don't do much which is NOT what I do at all. When I sit and think about what I do it spins me out sometimes.
It's all about perception...

I use "President and Founder" in professional correspondences. I want to make sure my business isn't judged based on the number of people running it (as in 1) but by the provided content. I think that gives a more professional sound to what I do. When talking to friends I just say I run a web site.Flag as inappropriate Posted by Rose on 15th December 2007
