Hi Lylah,

My site is www.monkeybeanz.com. We are a fair trade focused importer of children's clothes and toys from Thailand. My husband is Thai and we met when I lived over there and our first daughter was born there as well. We started the idea for the business when we were planning to move to the US about 2 years ago. We design the clothing and choose all the fabrics and details and work with some women from my husband's village in Southern Thailand to sew everytihing for us. The toys are all cloth and handmade by a local Thai company that we work with.
It has been a huge challenge for me to learn enough to start this business as I knew nothing about business or websites but I believe so strongly in what we are trying to do with this business and the products that we offer that I have just always held on tight to that vision. While there have been many days when I have felt less than intelligent trying to figure this all out, starting the business has actually been really good for my confidence. I am so proud of what we have created that I get really excited about promoting our site, showing people our products and talking about our story. Thanks for listening!
