Hi..I currenty work full time (Sept.-June) in a school district. I was thinking of starting a home business for extra income. I have tried this once before but ended up spending way too much money on start-up costs and advertising. I was wondering if you had any suggestions?

Thanks,
Corrin Woods

Aloha, Corrin,

I also work fulltime, but, will be retiring on November 1, 2008. I know exactly what you are talking about, I remember purchasing items from a company (home based) for $600, and received a check for $12.95, that kind of income did not impress me at all, therefore, got into another home based business (hb) spent more than $1,000 got zero return. I have been in 12 home based businesses ranging from health, juices, etc., etc., well, I am now on my 13th one, and I have found the right one, for me anyway, there will be costs to have a business, whether hb, or not, but you must have passion, and do research on the hb you want to be a part of, don't give up, just don't get into every hb business because it sounds great. Corrin, Donald Trump, says, you have to have passion, be sociable, have an entrepeneura spirit, and self-motivated are among the things he had to say about network marketing, I would encourage you to get a copy of Success from Home re Pre-Paid Legal, Leading a Legal Revolution magazine, it has lots of great stories of success in hb or network marketing. If you are interested, checkout: www.prepaidlegal.com/hub/ethelgoods, if not, its ok, but keep looking, there maybe a hb out there for you, or maybe you have an extraordinary talent (I.m sure you do) that you could market that would be a great hb. Yours in success, Ekela.
