I am the very proud mother of a too-cute-for-words one year old son! My job has me commuting an hour each way, but I do work from home one day a week and get to see hubby and son as soon as they get home! My hubby takes our son to/from the onsite daycare where he works and is able to spend an hour or two bonding (i.e. wrestling)before i get home! :)

Wallet, Phone with MSN Mobile (email, browser, etc.), powder, lipstick, and glasses - just incase my contacts decided they have had enough, I will still be able to see!

I'm a working mom to one son, Dawson, who will be three years old in September. I struggle with finding balance between work and family because I constantly feel like time is never enough.
My husband and I will celebrate our sixth wedding anniversary in October and I'm trying to make a resolution to spend more time with family.
I'm sure so many parents feel this way. I hope to meet them and think of new ways to bring balance to our lives!

Wallet, cell phone, hand sanitizer and tic-tacs.
I need the wallet to each lunch at work, the cell phone in case of emergency while driving, the hand sanitizer because my son always has sticky fingers, and the tic-tacs are for fresh breath as well as a tool to keep the toddler quiet in the car!

I am ridiculously proud of the fact that I get to raise two really amazing kids. I am single by design and wouldn't have it any other way. Professionally I have accomplished a lot both in the corporate world and running my own business. I know what it is like to be unemployed and under-employed. Personally, I am a diehard optimist, terminally perky and a hardcore believer in personal accountability.

Wallet, Palm Treo and lipgloss are the bare essentials that exist in my bag.
The wallet for obvious reasons, the Treo is a phone, email, calendar, address book and entertainment all in one. Lip gloss of some sort because it is the one make-up item I cannot live without!

I was a stay-at-home mom for 7 years, and then I got divorced. I finished my English MA shortly after. I have worked as a special ed teacher, a college instructor, and an assistant director of a research institute for a medical school.
I returned home to work as a fulltime medical writing and editing consultant, two years ago. I have clients across the U.S. and Canada, and also blog for ParentDish, TV Squad, and The Life Sciences blogs at Weblogs Inc.
In the past six years, I have completely re-invented myself. I am eager to see what happens next.

The essentials in my bag are wallet, Blackberry (often unattractively clipped to me, instead--a habit I vowed to change this year), hand sanitizer (I am a mom, oh yes I am), keys, business cards, Altoids. Usually about 1/2 ton of extraneous junk co-exists with the essentials.

After (part-time) working Mum for 6 years I've taken the plunge and resigned to concentrate on my own business. Excited and terrified all at once.

Wallet, phone, organiser, sunglasses (it's summer in Australia), keys and Burts Bees lip shimmer.
Because they are the things I use every day.
