Busy Chefs, what kitchen gadget makes your life easier? Are there any out there that you simply can't do without?

A hand blender. Hands down. (hee hee) Smoothies, soups, popsicles, (I am the hit of the neighborhood for my homemade popsicles) babyfood (although not lately). It's all soooo much easier to plunk the blender into the pot, puree and rinse. Done! I hardly ever use my standard blender.
I also love my food processor. Well, I love what it does. It's a 30-year-old quisinart and I suspect there's been a few improvements since then that I would appreciate. But having one is a lifesaver when you have a vegetable subscription (CSA).

I'm a new Mom trying to juggle working at home and having a young baby. In the past year and a half I have gotten married, graduated college, and had a baby. I am trying to build up a business as a spanish/english translator. My husband is a teacher...so we get by, but we could always use more money. I also want to continue to keep my skills sharp, because I know I'm not going to want to stay home forever. I'm interested in making friends and networking with other inspired mamas!

I absolutely love my hand blender too. I never thought I would use it as much as I have.

I'm pretty low-tech. Hand blenders are awesome...but mine just broke. Ah, I had it since 98, so it was pretty good value!! Anyway, that would be my pick. My fav utensil is the spatula!

I'm totally on board with the easy wine opener
I also enjoy my hand blender a lot!
Something that I was really sad when it broke was my Pampered Chef egg slicer... I had to replace it pronto because its strawberry season and nothing slices strawberries better.

My favorites are either my steamer or my crockpot. My son's favorites are utensils. He used to borrow kitchen utensils as fidget tools until we started buying him a set of his own! The day my favorite spatula ended up in his Civics folder we decided it was time to set up his own supply.

I am a Canadian expat living in Guatemala. I am a work at home mom with two kids under two and a freelance writer.
It is not easy, but my husband was recently able to quit his teaching job to stay home and watch the boys while I work and focus on his night career as a musician, his true calling! I call that success. :D

My mixer is definitely my favorite. We live in Guatemala and I don“t have much of a kitchen yet, but I was thrilled to finally be able to whip cream and egg whites without my arm falling off!

I like my asparagus peeler. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it.
