We're thinking of going with friends to an all-inclusive resort -- we both have young kids and I keep hearing that these are great vacation options for them. Any tips or suggestions? Have you been and did you like it?

We went to one about 3 years ago (before the twins arrived) and we had a blast! My son was about 3 at the time and thoroughly enjoyed the kids club, hanging out on the beach, getting to pick his own meals (they had a kids buffet table set up in one of the restaurants with hotdogs, fries, mac 'n cheese etc). He also loved to "swim" up to the pool bar and ask for a drink (they had "mickey mouse" cocktails for the kids).
We also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere where you don't have to pay for anything except at the gift shop!

If you have not already decided about this vacation, you have lots of different options. The all-inclusive resorts are great for parents as well as kids. As long as the kids are past the age of diapers and pull-ups, then you can enjoy the vacation in a variety of ways. You can have family time and you can have seperate time. The children's activities are some of the more reputable resorts are first class. The kids have a great time and the parents have a relaxing time, because the kids are happy.

DO IT! We did one (Sandals Negril) for our honeymoon and had the most fabulous time. We've also done Club Med with my hubby's family and loved that each time. We are all hoping to get in others now that the kids are getting bigger because there is nothing better when on vacation than not having to plan your next meal or not being able to find a drink! I wouldn't know which to choose at this point but I'm sure it's fun to look and dream.

We did an all inclusive for our honeymoon and we loved it. There is so much to do and it is all part of the package. There was horseback riding, swiming, boat rides, catamarans, glass bottom boat tours. I could go on and on. The food was amazing and so was the service.

The resort we went to was a couples only but there are plenty of family oriented ones to choose from.

Good luck!
