My husband's childhood and adolescent hero was Indiana Jones, so needless to say we're going to see it this weekend. I'm excited that he's excited, but not really looking forward to the movie. Anybody else going? Are you going because you want to go?

Didn't the first one come out about 20 yrs ago? WHO would have thought we'd be seeing a new one come out 20 yrs later??!! My 2 college age boys never saw them, and wondered what the fuss was all about. So last night we watched the first one - they really liked it! They felt it passed the test of time - cinematically, music, humor- Tonight we're going to watch the 2nd one. And I'm sure we'll see the new one soon. It's kind of fun to revisit them all. I guess I'd say that I'll be going because I want to go.

If I could get childcare, I'd totally go on opening night!

Hubby and I went tonight cause I've been dying to go. I don't care if it's been nearly 20 years since Last Crusade. Harrison Ford is HOT in my book. And I loved the little nods to the previous movies and the other people from the past ones. The only thing that could have been better would have been John Ryes-Davis. I loved him in both 1 and 3. This is one that will be bought on DVD when it comes out.

I saw it with my husband on Friday night. The movie brought back good feeling memories. Although, there were far-fetched elements ...

My boys (hubby and two sons) went Friday night and loved it! I, on the other hand, attended a retirement dinner for our school district. It was the first time I was introduced to a group as the President of the Teachers Union. That was exciting.

Anyhow, the boys loved it and I got a dinner without "mommy...mommy....mommy". Plus plus for us all.

KC,
Actually, it wasn't as far fetched as one might think when you know that the story is actually based on crystal skulls that have been found and the mystry benhind them.

Went to the movie at 2 p.m. opening day! Needless to say, my husband is a big fan and we had to plan this all out about a month in advance - day, time, babysitter, order tickets. etc.

Fortunately, I like Indiana Jones as well, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

We're going this afternoon just as soon as babyjama wakes up from her nap. My husband has been rewatching all the movies this weekend and is STOKED. I'm glad he's excited...now if only I could get the theme music out of my head...hmmm.

JDaffron: Thanks for the links ... okay, maybe not so far fetched. Mamajama: do you go to the theater with babyjama? If so, does she do okay? I'm curious because I want to see Prince Caspian/Narnia and my husband asks what we'll do with our son. (Convenient excuse when he doesn't want to go to the movie theater ... ha ha ... Interestingly, he had a well-organized plan of the neighbor watching our little guy so that he -- er, I mean we -- could see Indiana Jones.)

Hey KC,
We don't take babyjama with us to the theater. My parents watch her for us. We did however take her to a high school music program a couple of weeks ago. She actually liked that very much. She loved clapping when the audience clapped, and she liked the music too. However, about an hour into it she got kind of restless and my husband walked her around for a little while until she fell asleep for the second half of the show. It worked out very well. I think it would be too hard to take her to a movie at this age though...There's no clapping between acts, so i think she'd just make a lot of noise. I wish you lived close by. We could leave the babies with the husbands and just go to prince caspian together.

That would be nice ... too bad TX is so far away from everything. Hope you enjoyed Indiana Jones
