BELIEVE IN YOUR PRODUCT

Don't waste you time if you do not really believe in what you are doing. Life is too short.

USE WORD OF MOUTH

Tell everyone and anyone about what you are doing. Try to do it in an exciting and interesting way. People want to know what we are doing in our lives. It's what brings us all together so talk it up.

INVEST IN A GOOD WEBSITE AND USE THE INTERNET TO YOUR ADVANTAGE

Busy moms and dads and even the "Silver Surfers" (people over 65) are surfing the Internet and using it to buy more and more products everyday. Make your site easy and simple. Get on-line reviews, partner up with other on-line companies, use a podcast if applicable.

HUSTLE

If your product should be in a certain store or on a certain website, hustle and try to get it in. Make phone calls, give it your all. Don't give up! Everyone starts somewhere - believe that you can make it happen!

GIVE IT AWAY

You truly believe in your product so give it away and share it for no or little cost. In our case, we created a free video podcast of our children's book, or Beckasodes, as we call them. (For an example go to: www.beckasodes.com) We also regularly give readings at schools and libraries as part of outreach programs. Don't be afraid to commit to give either your time or sample products. It is worth it in the long run!

Good luck!
