A Working Mom's Fantasy Christmas Gifts List

She'd love some time to herself, and maybe some free babysitting, too!

Family members have been asking me what I want this Christmas and, after a little bit of thought and a lot of dreaming, here's a partial list of what I'm wishing for:

1.) My three year-old to be potty trained. We're soooo close here. I can't wait to stop buying diapers and wipes!

2.) At least seven minutes in the bathroom, all to myself. Uninterrupted. Not even by my husband.

3.) The laundry and dishes to magically disappear for a few days (or get done by elves or faires or little men who suddenly learn to do their mom's least-favorite chores expertly, and without whining).

4.) The time to read a magazine all the way through. In one sitting, no less.

5.) An entire day without bickering, crying, or drama. Especially from the boys.

And, while I'm really fantasizing, I'll also wish for:

6.) An editor to call me with a lucrative, substantial book- or magazine-writing assignment.

7.) Someone amazing, who loves my children and vice versa, to give me a year's free babysitting, whenever I need it, even at the last minute.

8.) My thighs to revert to their pre-children size and appearance. Ditto for my tummy.

9.) For extra hours in the day so I can actually have time to scrapbook. (Poor Jax, he has so little documented about his life in comparison to his older brother, I'm going to have to start saving up for therapy.)

10.) Sonic to give me free Diet Vanilla Cokes for life.

What are your Christmas wishes? Tell me in the comments!

Oh, such good ones - thanks for the smiles:)

I'd add a few:

A month of great, fresh, healthy, home-cooked meals in my fridge so I don't have to cook!

My 3.5 yr old to stop whining - and not just for a minute.

A half hour a day just for me, no work, no kid, no chores, no husband, no mom on the phone asking why I don't have time to talk at 3pm.

And if we're getting crazy here then a week of 9+ hours of sleep a night, a 6-pack on my stomach (not even pre-baby was it that, but hey, we're getting crazy here!), and hundreds of thousands of workin' moms flooding to Work It, Mom!:)
