One thing every blogger finds out is that the best way to keep your blog in business is by blogging!

Its a simple statement but true! Who wants to read a static blog? I sure as heck don’t! I try to update Pajama Mommy as often as possible without annoying you readers! But I have a devised a plan that has helped me prepare for my future posts.

I call it my 10 Minute A Day Plan. Everyday whenever I feel the mood has hit me, but I have to do it once a day, I sit in front of the computer for 10 minutes and come up with post titles! Coming up with a post title is far more easier than coming up with any entire post. I am sure most of you will agree with me. Once you have created that title save it to draft and believe me next time you log in you will know exactly what you plan on writing about!

I run other blogs and it is hard to keep up with multiple blogs and thinking of topics constantly so this has helped me tremendously when starting a new project. If you were to log in to Pajama Mommy’s WordPress dashboard you’d see at least 20 posts waiting to be written. The great thing is I only spent 10 minutes a day thinking of the title, and maybe another one writing it and finding pictures.

Knowing I already have the post outlined in my head and just putting the words on the page. Is quite a stress reliever for me.

So, for the next 10 minutes go to your most popular blog and write down post titles. I even do this with the product reviews so I don’t forget who sent what went, and which ones I still have to review. This plan works out great. I usually come up with five or six posts in just those 10 minutes.

Test it out! And let me know in the comments  -- how does it work for you?

hi amanda, I'm new in blogging though I love to write my personal thoughts and angst in my diaries and what you have shared is really interesting. I love writing but well sometimes I have this writers blockage in my mind especially when I'm in easy moods!! Yup, you read it right! I do have this creative mind when I'm under or in stressful situations or under heavy emotional cycle. But in this blogging business, I feel light and wonderful to share things that are not heart-tugging. I'm learning a lot here and love talking with you all!!

Great idea! I have several drafts in progress at any given time. In the summer, when I'm baking and cooking more often, I post my favorite recipes, too. That gives me a good collection I can fall back on when inspiration is low.
This is a great brain storming idea and I can't wait to give it a try. I am constantly "writing" posts in my head as I am doing laundry or washing dishes but loosing the info before I get a moment to get to the computer. This way I can get the ideas out and then build on them. Thank you so much!

Wow very good idea! I did this a while back with articles that I want to publish on WIM, although I haven't finished them yet, I at least still have the thought process going because I came up with the titles!
