$600 tax rebate... is that the cure for being laid off?

I didn't think I would be the one to get the axe -- few people believe it will happen to them. And when it does, the effect can be crushing! But is doesn't have to be. It wasn't so much that I was laid off as it was a realization for me that I could do better and the opportunity had just presented itself in a manner I had not anticipated. What a blessing, what a Godsend!

Recession, job cuts, downsizing, outsourcing -- these are all words that we dread, they are the buzz words of 2008. Ask the voters in Michigan, they know a thing or two. And the tax rebate that some of us will be getting as soon as next week ... will that make things better for those of us who have been laid off? I didn't expect to be out of a job. I worked in the service industry (a teen counselor), so it wasn't a question of need. There will always be an opportunity to work with children. When it came to dedication, punctuality, being able to perceive the need even before it arose -- I was your girl! I was and continue to be the dream employee -- in before the rest, last one to leave and always at work!

I was able to make ends meet through an alternative stream of income that I had been establishing via the home-based business industry. I often asked myself why I was the one that got axed, and I know you are, too. I came to the understanding that I had to go because I was the most resourceful of my cohorts. If anyone could make it, I could. And so can you. In my heart, I knew that there was a very bright light at the end of the tunnel. Things would get better sooner rather than later.

One early November morning last year, at precisely 3 a.m., I woke knowing precisely and clearly the course of action I needed to pursue! Clear in my mind were the words "Internet Marketing for Financial Freedom." The excitement I felt and vision of what was going to be cannot be quantified. (It should be noted that I had been doing research for while -- inspiration, like success, does not happen overnight, but one night it happens!)

You see, my alternative stream of income came from coaching others to being successful working from home, in their home based business. I had taken some intensive courses and learned a great deal about internet marketing, enough that I could guide others that were struggling. I had some online presence, and a very enterprising lady discovered me, so to speak. No, I did not end up working with her, but she set me on the path for the adventure of a lifetime!
