Busy Mom's Breakfast Smoothie

People always say "breakfast is the most important meal of the day", but what they forget to say is that morning is the busiest time for most people. Especially moms with early rising toddlers! Instead of sacrificing your health, make this simple recipe ahead of time and slurp it down on the go.   Ingredient:

  • 1 1/2 C.  Greek yogurt (flavored or plain)

  • 3 bananas, peeled and cut up

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, stems removed and chopped (could also use frozen to give the smoothie a thicker texture)

  • 1/2 C. milk (soy, almond, or good old regular milk)

  • 2 Tbs. honey or other sweetener
  • 1 C. ice

Directions:

Add ingredients one at a time to your blender and blend until it reaches the desired consistency. Double or even triple the recipe if you want to make ahead of time for easy morning breakfast throughout the week!
