To be able to survive out there, you must have the know how and can do attitude. So what if people call you gung ho! Here is some tips to get you through each crazy day:

.) Keep a calendar and use it. Always know what is going on for the next day.

.) Get the unpleasant tasks out of the way first. It makes the day go a lot more smoothly.

.) Help the boss, no matter what, take on projects he/she normally takes care of. Really be there for your boss. Don't be shy and don't be afraid.

.) Get a good night's sleep, eat right, and get your exercise. Learn to have a postive attitude.

.) Keep a journal just to record the days' events -- what went wrong and how can you fix it, who you met today and how did they effect you. Or just use it to rant and rave.

.) Learn, learn, learn! Learn that new software or new policy. Take a college course to brush up on your skills.

.) Keep organized and learn to manage your time.

.) Keep a smile on your face, no matter what.

.) Greet each person who walks in the door and show them you truly want to help him or her.

  • This is great advice. I so agree that if you remain focused and upbeat on the job, you will do great.
