If I live long enough to know my children, then I will be happy.
If I live long enough to give back what I was given by my parents, I'll be grateful.
If I live long enough to share the gospel with one fertile heart, I will have achieved the greatest of things.
If I live long enough to forgive my brother, then I'll be remembered.
If I live long enough to see my true self, as God sees me, I'll be in heaven.
Time humbles you.
It’s interesting that I titled my life mission statements in the following sequence: “I AM” the "BECOMING” and, finally, “IF.” Where does my pen lead me to today? Where does yours as you reflect on your life mission?
Like birth pains in our souls, many of us mommies wrestle with the idea of who we are now.
As I poured my heart out to my husband with all these thoughts, he gently responded: “I think it comes full circle, it goes back to 'I AM'.”
I think he may be right.
