Work-at-Home Moms: There's Balance to Be Found

Sometimes, you CAN leave work at the (home) office

Remember to be grateful. Even though it’s a special kind of challenge only masochists may enjoy, I am grateful to be able to work from home. I’m especially grateful to have my husband at home with us as well. As nice as I think it would be, sometimes, to send him off to the office where he wouldn’t be able to see it if I did happen to lounge around in my bathrobe all day, we work together well and he absolutely loves it. I just can’t picture him confined to a cubicle.

Well, maybe if that cubicle were wallpapered with ESPN posters or something.

  • Hi Jessica, you sound like me. I work from home too and I used to think until recently that I have had it made. I'm really rethinking my decision. I used to teach and I really miss it. I've been home for about 3 years now. I resent my children on some days and I feel HORRIBLE about that. I think I just want to go back to work, come home to a clean home and have my evenings to spend with my family. I can't afford to hire a Mommy's Helper, but it sounds awesome!
