You may feel as though a male is not sensitive or intuitive enough to spend so much time with your children and play such a primary role in their lives.  It is important to take each child’s unique personality into account.  For instance, a little girl with tomboy habits may love having a male sitter, while an overly sensitive young boy may prefer to have a female nanny.

Men can be more intimidating than women. If all of your children are girls, they might not feel comfortable being watched by a male nanny, which is something that you should take into consideration.
