Relieve Stress in the Workplace

Here is one stress-reducing strategy you can do anywhere in less than 5 minutes

If this method doesn't work for you, try taking in a deep breath and holding it for a count of five, releasing the breath completely and holding for a count of five. Repeat several times.

Practicing deep breathing regularly, even for one minute, can provide great health rewards such as reducing anxiety, conserving energy, improving sleep, improving concentration, and relieving muscle tension. Coping with your stress in a healthy manner will help you to avoid the stress-induced temptations of not so healthy behaviors so you can manage your health with success.

  • Great link Smilla- I agree, I try to go outside during the day as well. Lucky for me I have a dog with no fence so it forces me to get out in the afternoon even when I feel I'm too busy.

  • When you work at home it's very important to spend some time outdoors every day. I go for a walk as often as I can. When I can't go for a walk I find a peacefulness as I watch some relaxation videos at http://www.relaxwithnature.com
