10 tips to make the juggle easier

8.) Blog, journal, and talk to your friends on the phone or online. We all need to let it out and its better to let it out in a chat room than to howl at your family because you've just gone nuts! We all need to let it out -- what we do every day day in and day out it hard work.

9.) Start early. Our nanny started a week early, before my work resumed, so she could get "my routine down." I was happy that the kids were being minded the way I would if I were there and Anna (my nanny) was happy because she knew what we did and could jump right in.

10.) Laugh! I learned in a retreat this week to lay on my back on the floor with my kids, raise my arms and legs like a dead bug, and wiggle. We all laughed and our bodies felt great.  Kids are funny -- bring out the kid in you and we all win!

I hope you like this article and I would like to know what tips, if any, you have for me!

  • I agree with it all except #7. I did the opposite. I put him in daycare a week before I went back for just partial days. (This way I could go get him if I was freaking out) Each day I left him a little longer until I could feel comfortable with him there and he could feel comfortable. (Although I think it was more for me than for him as he was fine.) One of my friends did that too, as per my suggestion, and it went great.
