To recap, a few small changes to make to your diet while you are expecting include:
- Slightly increase your calories by adding another snack or eating slightly bigger meals.
- Make sure you are getting a significant protein source with meals (meats, eggs, dairy, nuts, beans).
- Add some DHA-rich foods such as salmon and/or fortified eggs or talk to your doctor about supplements.
