Turn over a new leaf!

4.) Perfect piles. Piles are a must when you are reorganizing. Having three separate piles usually works best. One pile can be used for items you want to donate to a woman's shelter (or Goodwill), one pile will be for undesirables, and the last one should be a big pile of maybes.

The maybe pile will be tried on, and gone through with a fine-tooth comb. Once this is done you can decide what clothes are definite keepers, and which ones must be discarded or donated.

Now I know it can be tempting to put a bunch of old and ratty clothes in the donation pile, but don't. Just like cheap clothes can negatively impact our moods, they will affect the mood of anyone else who wears them.

Undesirables are things you just feel confused about. You'll try to remember why you purchased them, but a good rule of thumb is if you don't feel fabulous when you put it on, get rid of it.

5.) Be honest. The only way to get a fresh start is by being honest about how your clothes look, feel, or make you feel. If there are stains, holes, lint balls and areas of excess wear, discard it. If you come across sentimental pieces that do not belong in your wardrobe, don't worry, there is a spot for them at the top of the closet on a shelf.

Well, there you have it. This is how we turn over a new leaf. We don't let our clothes dictate how we feel about ourselves. No, we take control over our wardrobe, and based on how we feel about ourselves, we make the necessary adjustments.
