I love decorating my house for Christmas. I especially like hanging up decorations that my kids have made over the years. So I'm extra careful every year when I pack away these Christmas decorations because I want to make sure their handprint reindeer, handmade ornaments, and gingerbread man decorations are around for years to come. It means a lot to me that my mom hangs my paper Santa mobile every year and I want my girls to know how much I treasure their creations.

Another Christmas decoration that reminds me of my childhood is the macaroni wreath. So when my oldest daughter was about five years old, I had her make one too. Now I display her macaroni wreath every year, just like my mom displays mine! Frankly, that's why I had my daughter make a macaroni wreath. I wanted to keep the tradition going!

Here's what you need to make a macaroni wreath:

Uncooked macaroni (any shape except spaghetti, well, and linguine, uh, and fettuccine.)

Glue

Cardboard

Scissors

Gold spray paint

Ribbon

Here's how to make a macaroni wreath:

1.) Cut the cardboard so it is round with a circle cut out in the middle.

2.) Glue the macaroni around the cardboard circle.

3.) Spray paint the macaroni and cardboard gold.

4.) After the paint and glue have dried, attach a bow.

Voila! Now you too have a macaroni wreath to cherish for years to come!
