Food and Cooking: Simply Asia noodle bowls
Categories: Food and Cooking, General, Mom's Must Haves, Work Happy
If you’re trying to save money by bringing your lunch to work, it’s worth tucking a few of these noodle bowls from Simply Asia in your desk drawer, for the days when you don’t have time to put together a brown bag at home. At about 420 calories, 5 grams of fat, and 14 grams of protien per bowlful, they’re not too bad for you (the peanut butter you usually rely on has about 100 calories, 8 grams of fat, and 3.5 grams of protien per tablespoon), and they come in flavors like soy ginger, sesame teriyaki, spicy Kung Pao, roasted peanut, so you won’t get bored with the same old, same old. They’re also shelf-stable, self-contained (they even come with their own fork!), and microwavable, so they can be ready in next to no time.
$2.50-$3.50 each at most grocery stores and at World Pantry, and $21.90 or less for a six pack at Amazon.com.

If they had this when our kiddo was little I would have gotten it. Silly Seating comes in three sturdy but soft pieces, which kids can arrange in any way they like for play or for actually sitting on. It’s made of plush micro fiber and comes in a variety of colors (although I am partial to orange). Fun and function in one.
February’s almost over, and I’ll be happy to see it go, but that means there’s just a few more days to scoop up the savings over at
If you unplug your laptop or your phone and hate to deal with cords falling on the floor, you will want to check out these cable clips. Attach them to the table or even the wall and they will hold all cords and cables in place, waiting for you to use. Ahhhh… less mess, more happy.

Spring is not quite yet in the air but it never hurts to add a little pop and color to your look. These leather bracelets are fun and easy to wear, and can liven up a work outfit or your basic long sleeve t-shirt and jeans weekend uniform.
Great news—today and tomorrow (through February 18th, 2010)—
I’m not one for wearing a matching shell and cardigan set but I find that pairing a cardigan with a funky t-shirt (which only goes over at work if your workplace is ultra casual), a long sleeve t-shirt or a crisp blouse is a great way to put an outfit together.
