If you’re trying to save money by bringing your lunch to work, it’s worth tucking a few of these noodle bowls from Simply Asia in your desk drawer, for the days when you don’t have time to put together a brown bag at home. At about 420 calories, 5 grams of fat, and 14 grams of protien per bowlful, they’re not too bad for you (the peanut butter you usually rely on has about 100 calories, 8 grams of fat, and 3.5 grams of protien per tablespoon), and they come in flavors like soy ginger, sesame teriyaki, spicy Kung Pao, roasted peanut, so you won’t get bored with the same old, same old. They’re also shelf-stable, self-contained (they even come with their own fork!), and microwavable, so they can be ready in next to no time.
$2.50-$3.50 each at most grocery stores and at World Pantry, and $21.90 or less for a six pack at Amazon.com.
