A new lipstick

It doesn’t take much to brighten up your grey days. A scarf, a new top, a new lipstick. I tend to veer away from pink, for no reason whatsoever. This Nicki Manaj shade from MAC is the perfect shade to ring in spring.

Technology: Canon point and shoot

I am a photographer, and have a “big camera” (a Canon 7D - DSLR), but there are times when a large camera is not needed. I use my handy dandy iPhone to capture the daily moments. My husband, however (has a birthday coming up, and) goes hiking, fishing, and hunting. And has a 3G iPhone. He’s mentioned getting a good point and shoot that he can take with him and if I’m going to get him one, I’m not going to cheap out. Besides - I can use it too.

Spring is not quite here yet, but the styles are out. The word for fashion is COLOR and if there is anything that can brighten up my mood in a dreary February, it’s a new dress to remind me that spring is coming.

Love all things Vera Bradley? The Secret Sale is on, and that means savings of up to 60% on all of the things you love—everything from purses and duffels to watches and other accessories.

And how cute are their shopper totes (pictured here)? Seriously adorable. I’m thinking that at the sale price of just $4, it could be time to stock up for teacher gifts.

Hooray for a great deal!

Bodum Teapot

I’ve become a tea granny (again) in the last year. Tea was my warm beverage of choice growing up and then once I had kids I switched to coffee in the hopes that it would give me a little extra energy. After a bout of “sensitive stomach” last spring, I switched back to tea, preferably green. I realized last week that steeping it in a tea pot (as opposed to in my mug) would be great, but … I don’t have a tea pot. I mentioned this on Twitter and immediately had four recommendations for Bodum.

Great Deal: PowerCapes for everyone!

You know there’s little I like more than a great deal on something the kids are going to totally love, and so a price break on PowerCapes fits that bill nicely. Right now at Mamasource Deals you can snag a $40 voucher to PowerCapes for just $20.

Choose from three different cape sizes, customize by color, design, even logos and/or initials. Go whole hog with the coordinating shirt, wrist cuffs, and mask, or just do the cape. The possibilities are nearly endless.

What kid doesn’t love being a superhero? And what parent wouldn’t love to make it happen for half price? That’s a great deal!
