I am a huge fan of the color orange, and have discovered that it’s a good color on me. I find my eye drawn to it whenever I’m shopping, and I also go searching for it when I need a new clothing item. It’s a perfect fall color, and I need a new cardigan, so it only makes sense that I buy this cardigan from J. Crew, right? I think so, especially because there’s an additional 25% off when you use the code STYLE25.

Waterproof case for the iPad 2

I have drinking an entire batch of the Apple Kool Aid and own a Macbook, an iPhone, and an iPad 2. I use the iPad mostly for reading, but do have an external keyboard for it so that I can use it as a mini-laptop when I don’t want to lug around the big laptop. I’ve used it to read magazines and books while relaxing in a bubble bath, but after hearing a friend’s story about dropping her iPhone in the toilet (and killing it deader than dead) I’ve stopped using it in the tub. If I get myself this handy-dandy waterproof case, I can have unlimited bathtime reading options again.

iPhone 5 cases

As I’m sure you’ve heard, the new iPhone 5 was revealed this week, and people are able to order them today. I’m going to wait a few weeks/months, as my iPhone 4 is just fine (and I’ll have to buy out of my contract), but I will definitely be getting it by Christmas. My husband pointed out that I’ll need a new case for my new phone, so I’ve been looking. Griffin makes great cases and I’m a fan of these Reveal cases.

Great Deal: Snag a Lani Diane Rich novel for free

Few of us have the time and other resources to skip out on vacation whenever we need a break (I wish!), but a great book can provide a much-needed break from the daily grind, any time!

Lani Diane Rich is know for her light-hearted mystery/romance offerings, and the fact that you can grab her novel The Comeback Kiss for your Kindle for free right now is pretty much the definition of a great deal.

What’s better than free? I guess if it came with a box of calorie-free chocolates that would be even better, but within the confines of reality, this is about as good as it gets.

Outdoor Fun: Yaktrax Traction Cleats

I am a runner and like to run three times a week, all year round. Last winter I was working in an office and would walk over to use the treadmill at the gym across the street on my lunch hour. I’m working from home, now, and don’t particularly enjoy running on a treadmill, so I think that instead of spending my money on a gym membership, I’m going to purchase winter running gear. My running partner (and sister-in-law) told me about these YakTrax that slip over your running shoes for when the snow is flying, and they’re on my ‘to buy’ list.

Technology: Storing your kids’ artwork

If you’re like me, and have kids in elementary school, you likely find yourself buried under all of the artwork they bring home. What to keep? What to recycle? (NONE, according to my kids.) There is a solution to appease all of you. ArtKive is an app that lets you take a photo of your kids’ artwork and store it in the app. You can then share it with whom you want to include in your ‘Cirlcle.’ It’s easy to use, and is free for a limited time.
