You deserve a little pick-me-up at Starbucks now and then—no matter how frugal you are—and that’s why this $10 to Starbucks for $5 Groupon is perfect. It’s just a little something, a way to treat yourself for less.

And isn’t treating yourself (sans guilt) the best kind of deal?

Eyeshadow: All That Glitters

While in New York a few weeks ago, I found myself admiring my friend Ali’s eyeshadow color. It was a neutral color, with some sparkle, but not too much sparkle. I asked her the name of the shadow (All That Glitters) and bought some the next time I was at MAC. I love it so much that I wear it nearly every day, and think it would suit almost any skin tone.

Holiday Season: The little black dress

Thanksgiving is here, and we’ll all spend the next month shuttling between work parties, family dinners, and get-togethers with friends. The one thing you need in your wardrobe is a little black dress (LBD) that is season-appropriate. One LBD can be worn so many ways. Different accessories — from necklaces to scarves — can give you an entirely new look, every time.

Two of my favorite LBDs are from MEXX, but they don’t have online shopping (BOO). The other LBD in my rotation is from the GAP, which not only has online shopping, they have a crazy 60% off sale this weekend.

BPA-free, dishwasher-safe, plastic food storage that doesn’t leak and is easy for even little fingers to open? That would be Lock & Lock food storage, and while it’s worth every penny, there’s no need to pay full price. Right now Amazon has the 18-container set (mostly small containers; great for lunches) for just $29.99 (43% off), or go for the 16-container set (many larger containers) for just $37.99 (49% off). Or get both sets and throw out your old containers that are missing lids.

Either way, it’s a great deal!

iPhone 5 cases

As I’m sure you’ve heard, the new iPhone 5 was revealed this week, and people are able to order them today. I’m going to wait a few weeks/months, as my iPhone 4 is just fine (and I’ll have to buy out of my contract), but I will definitely be getting it by Christmas. My husband pointed out that I’ll need a new case for my new phone, so I’ve been looking. Griffin makes great cases and I’m a fan of these Reveal cases.

Lampe Berger: Athena

I’m out of town for work which is made easier by the fact that I’m working for the husband of my college roommate and we’ve had time to sit and chat and get caught up. I asked her what she would buy as an “Affordable Luxury”, if she had the extra cash and she immediately replied with “A Lamp Berger”.

I’d never heard of them before, but they do look lovely. A wide array of containers to choose from and a huge selection of essential oils that not only smell great, but purify the air in your home.
