I'm a mom of three, a professional accountant, and an amateur photographer and writer. I am not a marriage expert. But my husband and I take "Til death do us part" seriously, and here I'll be sharing how we keep our marriage strong while we both do that insane work-life juggle.
Check out my Work It, Mom! profile and my blog, Dutch Blitz.
My husband and I are both self-employed and spend the bulk of our days trading off work/parenting duties. In addition to working and parenting we are pretty good at firing the innuendos at each other. Our oldest child is now six, but so far he still has no idea what we are actually referring to. We may have to resort to speaking in code in the near future, which will probably be all sorts of awesome.
I am working at my former accounting firm for tax season and as such have not been at home. A few friends have sent me e-cards from someecards.com, and I thought it would be nice to send one to my husband since we are apart for about ten hours each day.
(Warning to my more conservative readers. The e-cards on that site are somewhat/horribly (Finger quote) inappropriate.))
I was browsing through the cards for a card to send to my dear husband. I found one that made me giggle like a schoolgirl…and then got me into the silent laughter. It took me longer than usual to send it because I could not type through my tears (I was laughing that hard).
Are you curious? If you are brave, here is what I sent to him.
No shame. I am a married woman, after all.
In this digital age, phone calls and emails are great and all but sometimes you need to kick it up a notch.
How about you? How do you flirt with your spouse?
