with Angella Dykstra
I'm a mom of three, a professional accountant, and an amateur photographer and writer. I am not a marriage expert. But my husband and I take "Til death do us part" seriously, and here I'll be sharing how we keep our marriage strong while we both do that insane work-life juggle.
Check out my Work It, Mom! profile and my blog, Dutch Blitz.

This post in the Daily Mail with photos showing the resemblances between celebrity husbands and their wife’s Dad is pretty crazy. And maybe a little bit spooky. I mean, I love my Dad and all, but I wouldn’t want to kiss a guy who looked like him. *shudder*
While my husband (6′2″, dark blonde, blue eyes) may not look anything like my Dad (5′10″, black/grey hair, brown eyes), they do have some similarities. They are both “handy” men and can fix/renovate/do almost anything with the tools in their shop. They both have a green thumb and work wonders in the garden. They both are good with animals and have even both raised chickens.
Is your husband/boyfriend similar to your Dad?

What a fun question. Kind of like how pet owners look like their pets.
My husband is nothing like my dad, but between the two of them, they’re awesome in all the ways it’s possible to be awesome. I’m a lucky girl.

I feel the same way. They do have many similarities but their differences up my overall life experience. I get two different, but awesome, men to fill my life. We are both lucky, indeed.

Uh….no. My husband and my father couldn’t be more different, both in appearance and personality. They do both love hockey though….but that runs in my family, so nobody really gets a choice.

No, my husband doesn’t look like my dad - although I’m thrilled that like my dad, he has also grown a beard over the years! They have totally different personalities / outlooks on life / political convictions, but funnily, those two have the best conversations about these topics and agree on a surprising number of things. So there must be something common underlying. Make of that what you will…
