Committed: The Ties that Bond
with Angella Dykstra
I'm a mom of three, a professional accountant, and an amateur photographer and writer. I am not a marriage expert. But my husband and I take "Til death do us part" seriously, and here I'll be sharing how we keep our marriage strong while we both do that insane work-life juggle.
Check out my Work It, Mom! profile and my blog, Dutch Blitz.

My husband and I kiss (peck) goodbye in the morning and we kiss (peck) hello when we get home from work. We will sometimes get schmoopy in front of the kids and have a (long, drawn out) kiss (because we want to mortify them). We generally keep our passionate (BARF) kisses for the bedroom.
This Stir article, “10 Things You Didn’t Know About Kissing” is a good read. One of the interesting facts:
Lips are sensitive – Lips are 100 times more sensitive than the tips of the fingers. Even genitals aren’t as sensitive as lips.
How about you? Are you a huge fan of kissing, or has it fallen to the wayside now that you’re an old married fart marriage veteran?

Shawn and I kiss daily.
Most days there’s at least one in the morning, one before I leave for school, one when I get home from school, one whenever we pray at dinner, and a few before bed, plus a few random ones throughout the day, sometimes.
I agree that kissing is important. It is an easy outward appearance of love and it is very intimate.
The girls don’t generally get grossed out by us. We don’t french kiss, but occasionally a longer kiss will elicit an ewwwww from Suki. Amber is so used to it and old enough to understand why we kiss.
I kiss Suki daily, on the lips, cheeks, forehead, chin, even her tummy if she’d not feeling well. Amber is getting a little old for daily kisses, but I try to get her when I can.
