I'm a mom of three, a professional accountant, and an amateur photographer and writer. I am not a marriage expert. But my husband and I take "Til death do us part" seriously, and here I'll be sharing how we keep our marriage strong while we both do that insane work-life juggle.
Check out my Work It, Mom! profile and my blog, Dutch Blitz.
My friend Jen sent me a link to this Huffington Post article titled ‘15 Ways To Stay Married for Fifteen Years’ last night and I almost cheered out loud. I’ve lamented before that it’s hard to find content online that supports marriage, and this article is a great one. It had me at point number one: Go to bed mad. I agree.
We’ve been married for twelve years, and the only one that doesn’t apply to us is the suggestion to move, and to live in different parts of the country. We love our community and our routine far too much. That said, we spend a week on the Oregon Coast every summer, and ski every winter, and take trips to places like Mexico and Vegas and California. I think the change in scenery is good for us personally, as well as for our marriage.
