Committed: The Ties that Bond
with Angella Dykstra
I'm a mom of three, a professional accountant, and an amateur photographer and writer. I am not a marriage expert. But my husband and I take "Til death do us part" seriously, and here I'll be sharing how we keep our marriage strong while we both do that insane work-life juggle.
Check out my Work It, Mom! profile and my blog, Dutch Blitz.

It’s tax time! (That exclamation mark was intended to make something rather arduous appear exciting! Because preparing tax returns is so! much! fun!)
(They aren’t fun at all, and I’m a professional accountant according to the initials behind my name.)
Because of said initials (and the years of schooling that led to them), I’ve always been in charge of preparing out tax returns. I also have been in charge of our monthly budget, including paying all of our bills and all that entails. I handed over the bill-paying reins to my husband when I was working full-time in an office and he was working part-time, but took them back when I returned to being self-employed last spring. Preparing our tax returns always has (and always will be) my job, because as soon as I start talking about tax credits and allowable deductions his eyes glaze over and he retreats to a happy place inside of his brain.
