with Angella Dykstra
I'm a mom of three, a professional accountant, and an amateur photographer and writer. I am not a marriage expert. But my husband and I take "Til death do us part" seriously, and here I'll be sharing how we keep our marriage strong while we both do that insane work-life juggle.

I went with the traditional look when my husband and I got married and wore a white dress. I skipped the veil, though, because I thought it would feel annoying and couldn’t be bothered with wearing one. Everything else was done the way I was told it needed to be done (’Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue’).
There’s been a growing trend of people, celebrities included, who are choosing to wear dresses that are white, purple, anything not white. If I were getting married for the first time, I’d still go for the traditional white, but just because I love wearing white and I love my white dress to this day.
How about you? What color was your wedding dress? Would you wear a colored dress?

White. I think I’d go with ivory if I were doing it today, but only because I know now that I look better in an off-white, cream or ivory than I do in bright white.

I also wore white, though I was VERY tempted to have orange tulle peeking out from underneath. I settled for some orange shoes instead.

My dress was ivory with champagne (almost tan or gold) accents. If I was going to do it all over again, I’d still wear a white/cream/ivory coloured dress - the coloured dresses just don’t look like “wedding” dresses to me. I wore ivory because I look better in it than a stark/sharp white.

I thing bride wedding dress should be always professional as a white color is the symbol of purity. Wedding is a very special day in everyone’s life with should be celebrate with music.
