Cornered Office
with Mir Kamin
I'm a freelance writer and mother of two working from home, which theoretically means I can set my own schedule so as to best accommodate my family. In reality, "flexible hours" often equals "working too much." Yes, I'm my own boss; no, that doesn't mean life is easy. It's hard to leave the office when you live there. But I love what I do and feel very lucky. And not just because I get paid to work in my pajamas.

Casual Friday with Mir—because some days are made for wearing your jeans and surfing the blogs.
Hey, did y’all miss me last week? Sorry about that. I hope you snuck in some time to read some new blogs, anyway, even though I wasn’t able to come suggest some for you. As for me, things are looking up, this week, and I’m ready to waste some time find some new reads.
Let’s get to it!
My kids went back to school yesterday (I know, I know; it’s early, I get it) and I am totally loving Lunch in a Box. Even though we don’t have a cool Bento Box to pack lunches in, I’m getting fabulous ideas over there. And once I’ve got lunch figured out, then I need to plan for dinner. Picky Palate to the rescue with fun ideas for feeding your family! Awesome. (I’m suddenly quite hungry….)
I used to cruise the personal ads for entertainment, but who has that kind of time? Fortunately someone has gone ahead and culled the best ones so that I don’t have to. Ha!
Do you love touching posts about marital bliss? How about when they involve hilarious malapropisms? Me, too.
And I guess maybe this isn’t technically a blog, but if you haven’t read it yet, you need to know 10 Readons It Would Rule To Date A Unicorn. Because it totally would, you know.
Have a great Friday and a relaxing weekend, everyone!

Okay Mir, can I do a little celebrity screaming and blushing? I read your personal blog every day. Love it. It was one of the first blogs I found (from a by-line in one of the parenting magazines). Let’s just say, I’m a little tickled to be linked here. Just a little (understatement of the year). Thanks!

Okay, the unicorn one was okay, but did you read the T-Rex one (Reasons to not date a T-Rex)? THAT one was hilarious!
