Cornered Office

with Mir Kamin

I'm a freelance writer and mother of two working from home, which theoretically means I can set my own schedule so as to best accommodate my family. In reality, "flexible hours" often equals "working too much." Yes, I'm my own boss; no, that doesn't mean life is easy. It's hard to leave the office when you live there. But I love what I do and feel very lucky. And not just because I get paid to work in my pajamas.

casual-friday.jpgCasual Friday with Mir—because some days are made for wearing your jeans and surfing the blogs.

Good morning! Today I’m more ready than usual, even, to celebrate all things Friday with a bit of distraction. Don’t ask. Just read!

Shall we start with revenge, a dish best served on eBay? (There’s still time left to bid!)

Or perhaps a great explanation of why I don’t go to the gym? (Okay, maybe technically the reason is “I’m lazy,” but c’mon, that sounds scary.)

I’m suddenly grateful for the polite people at my grocery store.

People say it’s hard to find quality childcare, but I disagree. (What, doesn’t that sound awesome? No? Bueller?)

The only thing better than having a blog is having a blog and a dorky spouse.

I don’t know about you, but I feel better already. Have a great weekend, everyone!
