Years of my own experience should have clued me in, but until I had a daughter and bought her a cute 1-piece cherry-patterned swimsuit from Target, I hadn’t fully realized that 1-piece swimsuits are REALLY CHALLENGING to pee in. It can be a little tricky to find a cute non-bikini 2-piece for a toddler girl, especially at the BEGINNING OF JULY when summer is OVER.

I like the Embroidered-Flower Tankini from Old Navy. I wish it had regular tank-top straps rather than a halter top, but I still like it.
I like the Floral Tankini from The Children’s Place even better, but I wonder if the top might float up in the water?

The Circo Rashguard suit from Target seems sensible: not only a 2-piece, but less sunscreen to apply and no shoulder straps to fuss with.
I like the Sea Spray Skirted Two-Piece from L.L. Bean so much, I was just going to go ahead and order it ($8.99 down from $24.50!)—but the largest size it comes in is 3T, and Elizabeth wears a 4T.

Lands’ End has a nice Scrunchback Tankini, which is not only adorable but comes in about a dozen different pretty fabrics—it’s tempting to buy two for mixing and matching.

Um. Teach her the pull the crotch to the side trick.

Those are all really cute! I’m not a big fan of babies wearing bikinis, but a two-piece sure does make pottying easier!

My two-year-old daughter’s daycare used to insist that she wear her swimsuit under hear clothes on “water play day.” We switched to a two-piece immediately because the combination of clothes, one-piece swimsuit, and potty training was just such a disaster.

Oh, if only they stayed in swim diapers forever…. er… maybe not.
I liked the swim-shirt-n-shorts combo my Mom got my daughter for our beach vaca. Weirdly, I did not find those at my own Target in GA! Must not have looked hard enough.

I have the scrunchback tankinis from Lands End for my daughters 4 & 6 and I love them. They are very well made and are SPF 50. My girls think they are comfy, they dry really fast and show almost no belly, which makes mom happy! You can get a matching swim shirt to go with them too for extra coverage. I remembering from previous purchases the toddler sizes being cut small maybe?? Just a thought. Look for a free shipping code, order a couple of sizes and you can return to any Sears store, fyi. Yeah, I kinda like Lands End stuff for my girls!

The LL Bean clothes run on the large size. My daughter is wearing a 3T swimsuit from Gap and a 2t from LL Bean (with plenty of room). LL Bean has a blue 2 piece that was still available in a 3T the other day.

Thanks for this! I’ve been looking all over the the same. We’ve got the heart rashguard one from Target and another two piecer from Old Navy. I relented to the child and got her a one piece and now I RUE THE DAY I did that b/c BOY HOWDY that thing is a pain to deal with when she’s got to pee.
Off to check out LL Bean and Land’s End.
Also, Zoe (age 3 and 2 months) is in 4 T. I’m thinking she’s a giant,

Lands end rocks!! We use rashguard tops and small bottoms or skorts/swim minis for swimming. Two pieces are easier for potty training, esp when at the beach and using port-a-potties!!

I got Amelie that cherry Target suit. It was a nightmare getting her into it. And it’s already too small. So, she now has the two piece rash guard. Love it!
