I’m too overwhelmed with the reality that it’s Thanksgiving week (OMG) to delve into the holiday gift guides we like to post here at Milk & Cookies, so indulge me in a totally random topic, won’t you? That being: the world’s coolest children’s boots. I can’t really afford to buy myself a new pair of awesome boots right now, so I’m channeling my window shopping desire into kid-sized fashions. Looking to outfit your offspring in some weather-repelling, eyeball-searingly adorable footwear? Start here:

John Deere “Johnny Popper” Boot. Uh. Mah. GAH. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

OshKosh Nona Girl’s Cowboy Boot. Pink stitching! Heart-shaped buckle! Girly, but not princessy.

Doc Martens 6004 Boot. Be still my heart: kid-sized Docs, in bright screaming yellow? Sadly, 2T-sized Minor Threat t-shirt not included.

Batman Rain Boot. For the pint-sized superhero who can’t stay away from puddles.

Keen Kid’s Vail Snow Boot. Oh, Keens, is there anything you can’t do?

Coco Quilted Boot. I can’t decide if these would be awful or awesome on a little girl, but I think I’m leaning towards awesome.

Polliwalks Penguin Boot. If I saw a child wearing these I would fall over DEAD from the cute. So, you know, buy with caution.

Ariat Red & Turquoise Boot. Can’t talk now. Too busy seething with jealousy that these don’t come in an adult size.

OMG Kid’s Doc Martens? I remember my Doc Martens being terrible on snow and ice.
Those pink Keen boots are so awesome. Do they come in adult sizes? Love them!

It makes me want to have another baby, so I can buy the first boot in this list!

My son would never take those John Deere boots off. He would wear them in his bed with John Deere sheets while listening to his John Deere CD. I can’t decide if getting them would be a good idea or not.

My 2 yr old has been living in these girraffe print fur slipper boots from Target (last winter) and I am having a heck of a time finding the next size up on ebay. ooo- it will be a bad day when they no longer fit.
I wanted another pair of Nowali (or similar sweater slippers) for around the house but again, cannot find ‘em cheap or in her size.

Does anyone know where to get long socks to go under boots? My 3 year old has the John Deere boots, but they rub on the sides of his legs. I can’t find any long enough socks to keep them from rubbing. The socks would have to go up at least mid calf. Oh but they are SO cute, those boots!
