Signs of spring

Please please please let it be spring soon. I am tired of complaining about wet snow gear, and would like to switch to complaints about muddy clothes and shoes. In the meantime, a taste of spring for our poor wintered eyes:

Sunny Morning art print by paintedbliss on Etsy ($18) (photo from the shop). Sweet little birdie + sunshine + sunny yellows + spring greens + spring lilac. Aaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Splish Splash Spring book by Jan Carr and Dorothy Donohue on Amazon.com ($7) (photo from Amazon.com). This is my favorite spring book to read to the kids. I am NOT the kind of person who goes around talking about how much I just LOVE words—and yet this book gives me that feeling. Fun to read out loud.

Spring Flowers and Birds wall stickers on Amazon.com ($11) (photo from Amazon.com). I’ve recently been using wall stickers. They are perfect for someone indecisive like me, because they’re easy to readjust and easy to change to a completely different set.

Aqua Blue Jardin necklace by RachelleD on Etsy ($30) (photo from the shop). I don’t like the feeling of having something around my neck, but I LOVE the look of it. If you are a necklace person, buy this and wear it so I can admire it on you. I love it for early spring because it still has the cool blue and white that looks as good in winter.

MIU Spatula Set on Amazon.com ($11) (photo from Amazon.com). Useful! And pretty together in a utensil holder!

Pretty spring paint colors chosen by me at Behr.com (screenshot from Behr.com). We’ve been painting at our house, and I lovvvvvvvve ColorSmart for helping me choose colors. Fresh Heather is what we painted our computer room, and Tart Apple is going in one of the kids’ rooms. I hope I haven’t been unduly influenced by Spring Longings that I’ll regret in the fall when I want warm cozy colors!

  • Thank you! Just added the book to the library hold list AND bought the wall stickers for a wall that has mystified me for over a year. Influence much?

  • I just bought the bird print for my youngest’s bedroom. It’s perfect! And when she gets older and decides it’s no longer cool or beautiful, I will steal it for myself. PERFECT.
