Homemade Pigs in a Blanket

This three ingredient, homemade pigs in a blanket recipe is bound to excite your little ones! These are so simple to make you can even enlist your kids to help out! Not only will it please the whole family, it takes very little effort and has easy to find ingredients. Plus, if you’re pressed for time, the hot dogs can be made the night before and refrigerated until it’s time to cook. The best part? No mixing bowls or sticky fingers needed!

What you’ll need:

  • 8 Hot dogs, cut to 3/4 of an inch in length each
  • 1 can of prepared crescent rolls or pizza dough
  • 6 slices of cheddar cheese, each about half an inch in width (optional)

Heat over to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.  Take the dough out of its package, roll to half an inch thickness if necessary, an cut into triangles.  Place each hot dog on a dough triangle, add the cheese is desired, and wrap.  Once all the hot dogs are wrapped, place them on a lightly greased cookie sheet, cheese side up  Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and serve with your favorite dipping sauce!
