We are a popcorn loving family and make it plain quite often.  My kids love it just warm straight from the bowl, but sometimes we jazz it up a bit and add a little extra flavors.  Since its February and Valentine’s is close we added a few lovey dovey sweets to our basic popcorn this past week.  It was fun to watch the kids reaction when they saw the bowl full of conversation hearts and marshmallows.  I was just excited because it was a super easy, holiday themed snack!

All you need to make your own is:

  • One bag of popcorn
  • One box of conversation hearts
  • Pink marshmallows (cut into quarters)

Pop your popcorn according to the bag and let it cool in a bowl.  Add the conversation hearts and the marshmallows.  Mix and enjoy!

I had originally thought I would be able to cut the marshmallows into hearts but that didn’t work out so well.  Instead I cut them into quarter size pieces and added them to the mix.  Heart marshmallows or not, my kids still loved this easy Valentine’s popcorn!
