Let’s face it. In today’s economy, we are all looking for ways to stretch our dollar. Why should it be any different with regards to fashion?
Whether your daily work ensemble involves a tailored suit or jeans and a tee, these additions will add a fresh twist for the upcoming season. All for under 40 bucks a pop.
Patent and a beautiful shade of blue, these comfortable flats will jazz up any conservative black suit or fall’s new denim silhouettes.
Have you heard about Target partnering with successful higher-end designers? Dean Harris is a very talented jewelry designer whose pieces have been used in the fashion shows of Marc Jacobs, Bill Blass, John Varvatos, Derek Lam, Peter Som and more. Target chose Harris as their third guest jewelry designer for the fall, so you better snatch up his limited designs before they disappear.
$39.99, Dean Harris for Target
The Mica Metallic Scarf by Free People is the perfect weight for the fall and comes in several colors to strike your fancy. Could it look any cuter on? I don’t think so.
Breezy fall days will have nothing on you with this darling speckled tweed hat.
Stop. I know what you are thinking. A black jacket? How is a BLACK JACKET going to spruce up my wardrobe? Trust me, when you find yourself wearing it with 80% of your clothing this fall, you’ll be happy you made the purchase. With the perfect overall length and 3/4-length sleeves, you can wear this with trousers to a work meeting or over a jewel-toned camisole with jeans for a night on the town.
Not sure about pink sunglasses? WHO CARES! They’re 5 bucks! (Don’t even start with me. I know what you spend on your daily Starbucks visits.)
This next bag is over 40 dollars, but come on, I just found a pair of 5 dollar sunglasses for you. Throw me a bone over here! Now, I’ve drooled over many a Botkier bag before, but the $500 - $1000 price tag has been a LITTLE daunting. Once again, Target has partnered with the best and is offering this fantastic bag for under 50 dollars.
I’ve dished a few finds, but now it’s your turn. What fabulous bargains have you seen lately? Do tell, my fellow fashionistas!

I’m ususally not a department store person (Gap, Old Navy and Target are more my speed), but I’ve noticed in the last week or two, Belk’s and Dillard’s are both having amazing clearance sales on stuff that is technically “Summer” but could easily transition into Fall, especially shoes and bags. I have to physically restrain myself from going every day during my lunch hour and so far I’m not doing too well. But clearance!

Payless actually has some WICKED cute flats right now for, like, $22. I haven’t tried them on, but I’m hoping SO MUCH that they’re comfy, because they have them in red and black and I would wear them a LOT. They are the American Eagle Cherish Mary Jane Flat, or some combination of those words. Seriously, check them out!

Old Navy also has some amazing jewelry right now- totally dead on J.Crew knockoffs. And my favorite little cheapies store- http://www.lulus.com

um yeah i second payless - especially to try out a trendy style you aren yet really sure of and dont want to drop more than $25 on in the way of shoes
loving the fall trends! and YES the sales are insane - kohls, pennys, macys, you name it - there are many $5 -$10 tops and bottoms to be had right now! (i bet next weekend will have sales going even lower!)

These flats are pretty awesome (but you have to be careful because the top can get bent up if you are walking quickly).

I saw the Dean Harris jewelry for Target in In Style (I think) and went today to check it out. Very nice, and a good price. There is a necklace that is two strands of those clear beads in front, just a silver chain in back (so more comfortable to wear) for $50 or $60. I didn’t get it - I got the $39 goldtone Dean Harris hoops I went there to buy - but am thinking about going back for it. It seemed to really light up the face.
I love going to Target for lunchboxes and school clothes and getting a little something for Mommy!
Other good buys I’ve seen lately - Nordstrom Rack has some nice things right now. Those flowy silk print tops they had in for the summer are still really pretty under Fall’s blazers and can be had for close to $40 rather than the original $100 plus.

As a single mom with four daugters, including a set of twins …
I’m on a budget that’s about as thin as dental floss!
Thanks for the great information!

OMG, I love these picks!

I love these! I found scarves in a similar color palette, without the patterns, at Target for $14.99. I’m planning to pick up a couple next week!
I adore those shoes and that necklace, too!

Shut up! I did not know Target and Botkier were working together now! *Heads to Target*
Love that black coat you have on there… I bought a similar one, but it’s in the “swing style” that seems to be in for now. Love black coats!!
As for scarves… definitely also check out the ombre scarves that are in for Fall. I *heart* that look!
Thanks for a great entry!

I’ve been looking for the perfect black jacket; I’m busty, but short, so it’s been really tough finding one that fits properly.
