Cute shoes! Everywhere I look!

Flats, boots, pumps and wedges in every color under the sun! Rich, autumnal suedes and leathers. Snakeskins. Patents. Wooden stacked heels. I’m telling you, it’s enough to make me weep with joy.

However, those happy tears quickly morph into a mild myocardial infarction when I look at the damn price tags on most pairs. WHY, RETAILERS? WHHYYYYYY?

Lucky for you, I’ve made it my mission this week to find some of the most attractive, unique and colorful shoes for under $60.

Drumroll, please.

$59.99, Nine West

$55.00, Piperlime

$59.00, Zappos

$19.50, Old Navy

$50.00, Piperlime

$46.71, Endless

$45.00, Payless

$50.00, Piperlime

$59.00, Zappos

$24.99, The Gap

$59.95, Nordstrom

$50.00, Piperlime

$59.95, Steve Madden

$49.98, Aldo

$58.95, Nordstrom

$55.00, Piperlime

(I guess, technically, it’s 32 shoes for $60.00, but I got a little caught up in the alliteration.)

  • Thanks for doing the legwork for me. I’m overwhelmed by the shoe choices out there. Would it be too much to ask to have you do a best boots under $100 edition?

    Consider it done!

  • yes i LOVE ALL THE SHOES this season and it’s all i can do to not buy them all. LOVE! now we just need a lesson in how to wear the colorful ones.

i am all good with brown, black, and even grey, but beyond that. NO CLUE!

For example, green suede loafer wedges with a buckle. SO CUTE! how do you wear?

With any neutrals! Black/brown/navy top with jeans, white/neutral shirt with black/dark brown trousers or skirt, basic-colored dresses…the options are limitless.

  • to Kate, I would wear the green shoes with brown or another fall color, and nothing else green. Let the shoes pop on their own.

to Sarah, thanks for the compendium of super cute bargains!

  • Hey - just last week I ordered those gray Old Navy flats with the turquoise bows! So cute.

Am now drooling over the Nine West ones you listed first. I can’t get over the wooden heel. I LOVE THE WOODEN HEEL.

This is why we shouldn’t meet up anymore. We HAVE THE SAME WARDROBE.

  • Love the brown stacked heel ones from Zappos. I think I’ll order them and try them out! Thanks!

  • I would also love “best boots under $100″!!!

    Coming next Friday!

  • Re: the same wardrobe… that’s what happens when much of your wardrobe comes from JCrew & Old Navy!

Not sure how we’d classify the shared love for Dolce Vita, though. Let’s just put that under “excellent taste,” shall we?

  • Love these kinds of posts. I am seriously fashion dumb…and it helps to actually see examples. Very cute and very helpful. :o)

  • Is it horrible that payless were my favorite ones? :)

    Nataly  |  September 5th, 2008 at 5:43 pm

  • I have been a shoe buying FIEND lately. Thanks to this post, Matthew is going to kill me. Or just maim me horribly.

    Angella  |  September 5th, 2008 at 8:27 pm

  • Nataly - not horrible! my cute green shoes are payless! i love them for trying out new fashion i am not too sure about because you dont feel like you have invested too much ;)

Thanks for feedback, that’s what i was thinking about the shoes but wasnt sure. a fashion friend of mine also suggested with black pants and pink shirt her (her fav. combo and she is always fab).

also - Dolce Vita? is that a store? i know a super yummy italian resturant that is dolce vita… and if thats what you are talking about then we must talk because i live around the corner and will join you for yummy italian food LOL

  • Thank you. This is spectacular.
But here is my problem. The price is one problem, you solved that.
The heels is another problem. It looks like the shoes on the market today are either flat or over 3 inches. I take public transportation to work so I need a happy medium. Not flat and not too high. How about nice shoes under 60 dollars with 1 or 2 inch heels?

And please do boots with 1 or 2 inch heels under 100 dollars.

I promise to tell the world about your wonderful blog.

    Do we have a deal?

  • Ooooh! *drool*

I love the Old Navy and Gap flats!

And can I say how ecstatic I am that ballet flats are “in” and thus, can be found everywhere, in every color, and every price range? I’m 5′10″ and uncomfortable in my height as it is… heels make me feel even worse. And ungainly.

Thanks so much for this! Now I need to pick what to buy with the next paycheck!

  • Love them! Great styles. Shoes are such a weakness of mine. I worked in a very hip shoe store while going to college and that did me in.

I have a shoe fettish. You should see my three year old daughter’s closet. (smile). She love shoes too.

    Thanks for sharing.

    BELIEVE Success!

  • Beware of Piperlime! I ordered one pair of shoes from Piperlime and was shipped the wrong size on three different occasions. They eventually ran out of stock and I never got my shoes! Once is a mistake, twice is an accident, and three times is a pattern. Their excuse? …”it happens.”

Really? I’ve ordered several pairs of shoes and have never experienced any problems. I’ll keep that in mind, though…thanks for the heads up!

  • love the first ones
