Holiday Sweater Disasters

Let’s get real - it’s the day after Christmas and my pants are feeling a little tight. In fact, don’t mind me while I unbutton my jeans.

Much better.

Is it just me or have you seen a plethora of horrible, HORRIBLE holiday sweaters this year? This abomination of fashion has been quite the hot topic around my family’s home lately, and since we all are feeling a little comatose from the onslaught of holiday gatherings, I figured it would be a good week to keep it light.

Without further ado, I give you the Horrible Holiday Sweater Bonanza.

This one glows in the dark. GLOWS IN THE DARK, PEOPLE.

  • Is it scary that I actually like that glow-in-the-dark sweater? Minus the glowing part, of course, but the design is probably the best out of all those you’ve shown.

  • Good work, Whoorl, good work. Yeah, I will never get the appeal of these. But my dear sweet mother-in law, bless her heart, she sure does!

  • What you have done just here is a cyber-miracle. You have just single-handedly assembled my mother’s quilting bee in mannequin form. I’m impressed.

(pass me the rum, stat… needed to offset the bedazzlement)

  • I confess; I wear seasonal sweaters to work. I am an elementary teacher, and my kiddos love and need the acknowledgement of the holiday season. However, these “featured” sweaters are awful!!
(Is it better that I buy mine at thrift stores so I don’t waste money?)

  • Great article! Love those sweaters. Very funny! :-) Thanks for sharing.

  • You would have to pay me (A LOT of money) to wear those sweaters. Though a Holiday Sweater party might be in order for next year…

  • Actually, these are better than many of the ones that I’ve seen in recent years. Forgive us, we live in the midwest, and the outside world of fashion doesn’t easily penetrate:).

  • wait. what’s wrong with the first one? i have that one!

kidding! seriously! i do own a bad holiday sweater but for bad sweater purposes only!

  • Thank god it’s summer here in Oz, cause there is no WAY I want us to follow or emulate this particular American Tradition!!

  • Those are great. A friend of mine went to an Ugly Sweater party, I wish she would have had these for options!
