Take your passion and make it happen

Have you ever thought about your passions?
Have you acted on those passions?
Were or are you afraid to pursue your passions?
Recently, being without television, I have started watching some old movies from the 1980 era. Tonight I viewed Flashdance which happens to be one of my all time favorites when it comes to dancing movies.
Watching from beginning to end I noticed things in the movie I had either forgotten or just saw for the first time as I now watch things more in depth to get the moral of the story being told.
In the story it tells about a young woman’s dream, her passion about becoming a ballet dancer, yet when she went to apply for an audition, she was afraid for she lacked professional dance training compared to all the others who were waiting for applications and you could tell they had training and studied dance for a number of years.
Finally encouraged by her long time elderly companion, friend, and former ballet dancer, she mustered up and went back to the admissions and applied. Finally, she received her letter and opened it and she was invited for an audition with no dance training of her own, just what she taught herself by watching and practicing.
At the audition, she starts the music, gets in position and starts, at first she stumbles and almost gives up, but then she picked herself right and started over, as she progressed through her moves, the music just moved her and she had everyone watching her. At the end, she runs outside smiling, she apparently was accepted.
As I thought about it, I realized that it was about having a dream that you are so passionate about that you just have to pursue it, even when you have fear, because once you do, you will one conquer your fear and two pursuing your passion with energy, focus, renewal and enjoyment.
