So we were on track for getting to daycare and work on time. All we had left to do was get her shoes on. Sounds simple right!? Not! First it was what shoes should we get, do you want to try sandles? She picked out the ladybug sandles but they were too small and she couldn't understand why that was a problem. Then it was okay lets get your pink rubber shoes. Oh but then it was, "no help," nope, mommy was not allowed to help. She wanted to do it all by herself but couldn't get it done. She got one shoe on but then she thought that was wrong and wanted to take it off and put the same foot in the other shoe (which would have been wrong). So mommy grabbed her to help and she lost it and refused to let me put her shoe on. So that's when mommy realized what time it was and that she was going to be late....again (thankfully that doesn't seem to matter around here, but still I like to get here on time if I can)....and that's when mommy lost it, grabbed baby girl, grabbed the shoe (the one not already on her foot), grabbed the bags, and coffee cup (not sure how I managed all of this without dropping something) and then basically hurried out the door, locked it, hurried down the stairs and plunked her in the car with her crying all the way, and mommy muttering frustratedly about not having time for this and she's got to let me help her with things.........With the end result being that Baby Girl and Mommy both had bruised feelings this morning and a few tears.
