My new job

Hello,
I just need to express what is going with me personally/professionally right now. Please forgive me for my rambling. I start a new job tommrow. I am a little nervous to say the least. I just feel I have been in a never ending cycle. When accepting this position (I am working as a contractor on site supporting a client) I asked about upward mobility opportunities with the company. Needless to say I was no left with a warm fuzzy feeling, when I was told.... this is such a transite industry few people stay beyond a couple of years. I am 41 years old, I just want a little security and stop the job hunting. Am I crazy????

First of all, best of luck with your new job -- starting a new gig is always filled with anxiety, at least for me, so just hang in there and give it a bit of time.
I think Lylah makes such a great point - even if you can't move up within this company, perhaps this position can lead to upward mobility in a different place.
