first real money job

I was 13 too young for working papers and not much for baby sitting so I sealed blacktop driveways for the summer. REALLY! It is a lot of back breaking strenuous work but I loved it - all except the clean up. The hotter the better so i wasy usually working in shorts. the tar would splatter onto my shins and only kerosene got it off - along with the flesh! But I made great moeny for being 13!

WOW!! That's an unusual job for a teenager!! Sounds like fun, though.

That's definitely the first time I've heard of that as a summer job! I guess you were out of the box even back then :)~
