My First Job

My first job was as a babysitter when I was thirteen (1984). I was earning $20 every Friday night, for mostly watching t.v. and doing my homework (the kids were almost always in bed by the time I showed up - the most I would have to do is help them brush their teeth and read them a story). Not bad eh?

It was indeed, unfortunately by the time I grew wise enough to appreciate it - re: not blow the money on stupid stuff, the job was long gone. Live and learn.

Not bad at all. $20 in 1984 was a pretty solid amount of money for a 13-year-old.
