Dealing with Hacker Aftermath

The hacker gave my GoDaddy account back, but now they have frozen four of my domain names. The ones that I reported as having invalid WhoIs info (because it was the HACKER´s not mine!). They ignored me for a week, then, once I had already changed my account info, they told me that they were going to cancel my domains and they put them on hold.

My main blog is gone. It´s been down for a week and if they take it, I lose my PR 3 and all my subscribers. I suspect my visitors are gone already, would you keep going back to a website that appears to have died? :( I´m so frustrated. I´ve updated everything over and over and their customer support is completely useless. I don´t know if I even want to continue with this online earning stuff, since I´m going to be starting from scratch again.

  • Just a quick update. After literally dozens of emails back and forth, they gave back my domains . . . but first I had to give them invalid information, just inventing an address, since they wouldn´t take mine! :P

And, surprisingly, within two days, all my visitors were back! I found out that I have a lot of loyal readers on my blog, which makes me SO happy! :D

  • That is so screwed up. Believe me, I know how vulnerable a violation can make you feel. I hope they catch the sucker. And I really believe this, Genesis, what doesn't kill us does make us stronger. (read my latest note and you'll see, I speak from vast experience). Thinking of you, honey. And knowing that you can attract the good stuff!

  • Oh, Genesis, that's so frustrating! I wish I had some great advice or information to share... I do have a friend who used to work for Go Daddy years ago, I'll shoot him an email and see if he has any advice...
