Finding Inspiration In A Theme Song

Everyone has a certain routine  you do when you awake in the morning. For me I pray thanking God I made it through  another day and then decide what will be my theme of the day. I feel a good song can lift your spirits and brighten your day. Sometimes you dont feel like getting out of bed to go to work and there are other days when you just want to punch the clock , click your heels twice like Dorothy and wish to be in Hawaii ! My theme song will last me through the day until I get home from work . When I do get to work I always seem to hear Dolly Parton's  song " Working 9 to 5 ". I find myself strutting around the office thinking this is gonna be a good day and Dolly's gonna get me thru it . My point  is when your a working women, mother, and  wife you carry such a big hat and sometimes you may want to just unwind, breathe. My words of love  to all superwomen is your beautiful and strong ! it may seldom cross some of our minds whether working outside of the home is a good thing for our families. My mother once told me . " Your children may not know the sacrafices you have made in order to provide for them, but one day they will come to you with understanding and appreciation. That's what love is all about ".  Finding inspiration in a theme song encourages me to continue my day knowing that my family comes first and they are the reason I get up everyday.

  • Shelly, I agree! I didn't fully understand the sacrifices my own mom made until I had my son ... and then I "got it." I like your idea about a theme song ... I'll have to think about one ... maybe Lee Ann Womack's I Hope You Dance.
