St. Patricks Day clothing

So I've been contemplating buying my step-daughter a St. Patrick's day shirt.  Does she need anymore clothing? NO!  Would she want one? YES!  Does she own a green shirt? not that I can think of.

Then it occured to me that since they don't have school on St Patrick's Day (Spring Break!) and it's the Monday after her mom's weekend, she'll probably be at her mom's house anyways!

But then I feel bad because Target has some cute St. Patrick's day shirts that are only $5 and she'd like one.  But I know that if we send it with her to her mom's we probably will never see it again and her step-sister that is also 8 will probably end up wearing it.  And I don't really feel like clothing the other children anymore than I already do.

Maybe I'll check the $1 spot at Target and get her some earrings or a scrunchi or something like that.  Something that I won't miss so much when it doesn't come home.

  • Good idea. I urge you not to cave and buy that shirt. She'll wear it once. Maybe. Goodbye lovely money. I had the same urge to buy an adorable onesie with a Spring/Easter design for my 1yr old. Only $4, but I know she has SO many clothes.

  • I have never even thought about those types of dynamics when it comes to clothing step kids. Wow, I had no idea it could get so complicated so fast.
